It is too hot. Mind you, in the San Francisco Bay Area we have no business to complain. The citizens of Arizona have been sweltering in the 100s for weeks. But those of us acclimated to these Mediterranean environs get a little cranky when the temp gets over 80. Me, I cannot cope at all. The Bay Area in normal times (of which we have not had any for several years), traditionally has a fog bound summer and a warm September that we call Indian Summer. I could Google the origins of this, but it’s too hot.
So there has been no photography, no listings, little writing, just a lot of lounging, reading, and waiting for our early onset of Indian Summer to be over. I did spend three sweaty hours at the storage space on Tuesday trying to get materials together for a photo shoot. I even contrived a classification of listings that ought to be easier to put together: vintage beads. That is, loose beads salvaged from necklaces too crudly for reselling. But I don’t have any Bakelite and little Lucite, mostly just plastic, which will have a limited appeal.
And yet, even for that I cannot get organized. I forgot my millimeter bead gauge. I know which box it’s in, which is something; but it’s a trip back to storage . . . and it is too hot.

Since moving, I can now tolerate up to 90, but I feel the same way past that
