Better late than not at all!
And look at what Santa brought me!
I used to have quite a collection of PlayMobil: the castle and all manner of Medieval Peoples with accoutrements. Alas, they do not do the castle anymore, but I’ll bet it comes around again. Just have to keep an eye out. And I think the PlayMobil people are much more expressive and attractive than the Lego people. I was thinking I will set up little scenes on the desk … to lighten my mood during the day. I just sent away for the Viking Warrior Woman. Not sure how I can work her into the Country Kitchen … something to think about.
And only today I ordered my Lewellyn Witches Datebook 2026 … getting a late start with everything.
I love to enhance the woodcut prints with my colored pencils. See 02/03/25 – Coloring in the Morning. A sensible old lady would spend the winter doing more of the same, but I have booked myself a project, which requires considerable prep. Actually, a lot of the prep consists of finishing up this, that and the other from last year … perhaps the year before.
And actually, there are three projects, three KnittyLady Conferences, in February, May, and June. In order to be productive in February, in my tablet weaving class, I will have to re-learn technique and finish the inkle bands abandoned after a class taken in (I’m so embarrassed) 2023. I don’t wanna.
I pulled the loom out of the back of the locker, but it’s not in the car yet. I have to do some YouTubing, because I completely forget the pickup technique we were using. And I was obliged to accommodate the teacher’s notions of color theory … which are not mine. I finish this thing and what the hell am I gonna due with it? So it’s still on the loom. But it won’t do. I must just get the butt into gear.
